    You have made this book sound like something I would definitely be interested in reading. It seems to fit nicely in the NA category, and you did an excellent job of explaining how it meets the criteria for this emerging genre. It reminds me a lot of The Folk of the Air series by Holly Black. Though those books are about faeries instead of elves, it is about a woman who uses her human skills to take her place in the faerie court and help the High King rule his new kingdom. Through their political adventures together, they grow from enemies to something more. I'll be adding A Deal with the Elf King to my Want to Read list.

      Yes I thought the same! It reminded me a lot of that series. I don't think this one is as well developed as The Folk of the Air series but it definitely gave me those vibes.

    Darla, this book sounds like a treat to read! I actually must've been out of the loop in the misconceptions about NA literature. To be fair, I haven't read a much of it as I should have. The way you detailed the book and the characters definitely makes me want to read it for later! Great job!

    This has been on my to-read list for so long! And J.Lynn is a fantastic read-a-like author. I almost used Wait for You as my New Adult read because it was so good. Your graphic is gorgeous and I love how you broke everything down. I had no idea how to do the appeals for mine, so I just used some from our textbook, but I love the ones you picked. I will bump this read up on my list!

1. I am looking for a book by Laurell K. Hamilton. I just read the third book in the Anita Blake series and I can’t figure out which one comes next! The fourth book is called the “Lunatic Café,” and as a heads up, the fifth book is called “Bloody Bones.” 2. What have I read recently? Well, I just finished this great book by Barbara Kingsolver, Prodigal Summer. I really liked the way it was written, you know, the way she used language. I wouldn't mind something a bit faster paced though. If you liked that read, I would also suggest “Bloodroot” by Amy Green. This book is a bit faster paced, but it still has a similar writing style that is lyrical like Kingsolver’s style. I would also recommend “Frog Music” by Emma Donoghue. Book Club Experience

I attended an online book club, and they were discussing “In the Country of Women” by Susan Straight. This was a virtual meeting. There is a clear leader, which is one of the employees at the library. However, once a question is asked, several people took turns to chime in and some asked questions that snowballed off of the original questions. The leader was great at navigating the discussion and in the span of an hour a ton of questions and topics were touched on. The leader does ask questions and first lets other people respond. If there is no response to the question after a few seconds pause the leader steps in and gives her thoughts, to which people would then chime in with their own thoughts most of the time. If no one chimed in, the leader would quickly move on to the next question. A few times the leader called on a couple specific people to ask their opinions.
