Fantasy Annotation

  1. Hi Darla,

I read this book a few months ago and really liked it! I found it very hard to put down because I wanted to know what was going to happen to Addie next. I think you did a great job with your annotation of this title. The Starless Sea is a good choice for a read-a-like as well - I read that a few months ago also and enjoyed that one, too. Have you read anything else by V.E. Schwab? I've had A Darker Shade of Magic on my TBR list forever, but haven't gotten around to it. I'm curious to know if it is as hard to put down as The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue?

    1. Sara,
Yes, I read A Darker Shade of Magic and it definitely has the same fast-paced feel to it. I actually liked A Darker Shade of Magic more than this title and would definitely recommend it if you liked The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue!

  2. Great write up! I literally JUST finished this book! Your summary is spot on and so are your characteristics. As always, love the format. Full points!

  3. I've been wanting to read this since I first saw it! I bought a copy but loaned it to my sister first so I'm still, somewhat patiently, waiting to get it back. You did a great job with the summary; if I didn't already have it on my to-read list I would now! Especially with the read-alikes you suggest-How To Stop Time is one of my favorite books and I actually did The Starless Sea for my annotation this week and thoroughly enjoyed it.
